Modigliani portraits..one of the most fun and gorgeous creations to make with kids

Modigliani portraits..one of the most fun and gorgeous creations to make with kids…. I have an ongoing art workshop that I facilitate for high school students…its just something Ive been doing on the side and todays lesson was taken from Deep Space Sparkle and it was the lesson  using Modigliani portrait style…I used watersoluble and oil pastels instead of  chalk pastels, and the results were amazing. You draw an outline in white on black paper of an exagerated long face, neck ,and torso…then go over it in thick black oil pastel…fill in the simple shapes with color and we did a twist by making a design on the background rather than just solid..after wards I sprayed it with a clear chrystal glaze and the results are amazing..it comes out like a stained glass very sophisticate creation…try it for yourself…fun and great results

  1. Concerning germaine”s comment: “Send me any new ones and I will send you the check”,- sounds like a joke… did you think artists are stupid?!!

Seriously, this page offers great art lesson idea. Thanks!
